Hmmm… Your observation is indeed very interesting, I never thought of it.
If (one day) there will be another study about males, then I’m afraid I’m going to have to force you to be a member of the research team :-)
Such a study will definitely help us reveal whether you are correct or not, and your contribution will be greatly appreciated.
Either way, even the non alpha-males get married eventually, and have children; therefore at a certain point in time a woman will ‘lower the bar’, so that an ‘outsider’ becomes a potential target.
It could also be a cause of the rather abstract descriptions given by girls; at times they are so generic that there will be a long list of different candidates that match the template. The second study will set the dots on ‘i’… One day…
I was having a conversation about women/men the other day. Isn’t it interestaing that guys want different types of women, while women want one type of man?
For example, a guy might look for a skinny dumb brunette, a smart red-head with an athletic composition, a very curvy submissive blonde, etc. Some guys choose wives less intelligent than them or with inferiority complexes. Other guys choose wives that are smart and driven, because they might like the challenge.
However, for women, they all seem to be looking for the same type of guy. Generally, it’s a man who is taller than her, with an intelligence as equal as hers or higher, confident, athletic (healhty), sociable, and family-oriented.
Women worry about their security and the well being of their future offspring, and that is why they look for the “alpha male” which (more or less stereotipically) has the characteristics listed above.
