Purchase of the month
It finally happened! The IT analytics saw it coming, but now it is in the news all over the planet! The second largest software company in the world was purchased by a Russian oligarch, whose name is not yet disclosed. The media says the new owner is a YUKOS daughter company, but that is not yet certain.
One of the first decisions of the new owner was to rename the company, and change the logo.
Samuel J. Palmisano was not available for an interview, but I am sure that the ex-CEO will make a public statement within the next 48 hours.
